Song P, Lee H, Lee Y, Joo E, Hong S. Effects of mandibular advancement devices for the treatment of sleep apnea syndrome based on cardiopulmonary Coupling Analysis. Sleep Medicine 2015. DOI: 10.1016/j.sleep.2015.02.506
Although mandibular advancement device (MAD) is considered to be an optional treatment for obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSA), it remains unclear whether MAD definitely improves sleep quality. We aimed to assess sleep quality before and with MAD based on cardiopulmonary coupling (CPC) analysis in patient with OSA.
Sleep with MAD definitely improves sleep quality based on PSG indices and CPC parameters.
CPC Sleep Quality may be utilized to track therapy efficacy.
