Frequently Asked Questions
A patient should only be added/created in the system once. After adding the patient to the system, they will be assigned an automatically generated Patient Id.
The patient will use this Patient Id and their date of birth to sign into the SleepImage Mobile App every time they do a sleep study.
The SleepImage Rings should be charged after each use.
Either the Patient profile hasn’t been created, or the Admin hasn’t Assigned you to the Patient.
If the patient was shared by a different SleepImage System user (using the patient share feature), they may have revoked the share. If this is the case, please contact the person who added the patient to the system (Patient Owner).
You may be seeking access to the Patient’s historical data that was uploaded more than 60 days prior. You can gain access to that data by applying a Report Credit which will allow access for 60 days, or have the patient record another sleep study and generate a report, which requires one Report Credit.
Alternatively, customers on a subscription receive unlimited access to all historical data while they have an active subscription.
If you know that a patient attempted an overnight recording but you do not see a report, please see the troubleshooting section on the SleepImage Mobile App Instructions page, specifically “Upload”.
If the troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, please contact support@sleepimage.com. Make sure to include the Patient Id and the study date that is expected. If possible, provide screenshots of the History page in the SleepImage Mobile App.
If you are on a pay-per-report plan using Report Credits, you must accept the first study before additional studies are processed.
After Accepting/Rejecting the first one, the next study in the queue will become available after ~15 minutes or less.
Yes. However, make sure to sign out the previous patient and sign the next patient in to the app before that patient starts a recording.
Before another patient uses the mobile device, go to the Settings page (gear icon) in the SleepImage Mobile App and click Sign Out. Then sign in the next patient using their unique Patient Id and date of birth.

-
All sleep studies are uploaded and automatically processed to generate a report. There will be no “Pending” studies in your Account causing less effort to get locate and interpret the latest study for each patient.
-
All sleep studies for all patients are visible while the Account subscription is active (paid).
-
One Credit is required to process each uploaded sleep studies to generate a report for your patient. Patient access remains open for 60 days once credit is applied.
-
Accessing historical sleep studies outside the Upload process. If you do not have any studies to upload, but want to access the patient’s historical data, 1 Credit can be applied to open patient access for 60 days.

There are 3 primary reasons why the Signal Quality Line report segments of yellow, amber, or red signal.
- Signal Loss – The mobile app was not able to communicate with the recorder and therefore no signal is received for that period. The result will be a gap in the analysis.
- Artifact – Poor sensor contact or excessive motion during recording will result in signal noise that does not produce valid output. The result is a signal that does not have the appearance of a physiological signal and may exceed the upper and lower extremes of the graph.
- Physiological abnormalities – In patients with chronic arrhythmia, the SleepImage System may be unable to provide to analyze the signal successfully. In these cases, the signal quality line will be yellow, amber, or red, even though the input signal is absent any signal loss or artifact. If a patient is suspected of having arrhythmia, please refer them to the appropriate specialist for further evaluation. The SleepImage System is not intended to rule in or rule out arrhythmia.
